Welcome,

            My name is Dr. Deepak K. Lokwani, presently working as Assistant Professor at R. C. Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Shirpur (Dist. Dhule), Maharashtra, India. I obtained Ph.D. degree in Pharmacy from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad in 2016. During Ph.D., I had awarded as Senior Research Fellow from ICMR and also worked as Project Fellow on UGC major research projects at Department of Chemical Technology, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad



            I have published more than 25 research papers in peer-reviewed journals with a cumulative and average impact factor of 59.087and 2.66 respectively (As per Clarivate Analytics, Journal Citation Reports 2018). I  received a national award from CSIR-OSDD for Short film made on the topic “Need of New Drugs for Tuberculosis” in 2014. I also received Outstanding Publication Award by vLife Sciences, Pune in the field of Computer-Aided Drug and Molecular Design in 2011.  I also worked as a sub-coordinator and mentor of on week training Programme on Computer-Aided Drug Design arranged at Y. B. Chavan College of Pharmacy, Aurangabad in 2017.


        My major area of research includes computer-aided drug design comprising Molecular docking studies, QSAR, Pharmacophore screening, and many more. I am currently working on rational design and synthesis of bioactive compounds in the field of anticancer drug discovery.
